Our Story
Incorporated in 2016, Astrivis Technologies is a spin-off from ETH Zurich (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology). Our founders began with years of research in the lab, presenting the world’s first image-based 3D scanning (photogrammetry) demo that ran entirely on a smartphone at a top computer vision conference in Sydney in 2013.
That breakthrough marked our starting point. After years of refinement, we have brought the technology to market—transforming how businesses interact with the world through accessible, mobile 3D solutions.
Mobile 3D Scan SDK Release
We standardized our mobile 3D scanning SDK, enabling easy integration into business workflows across industries.
AstriCloud LaunchShift to 3D Body Scanning
We launched Astricloud, our 3D content management platform, and pivoted toward full-body scanning — recognizing its potential in digital health, fashion tech, and wellness.
Face Scan Mode Release
We introduced our first face-specific scanning mode, enabling dental professionals to create 3D facial avatars using just a smartphone.
Lower Body Scanning & Measurement
We released new modes for leg and foot scanning, including precise measurement extraction for compression wear, footwear fitting, and orthopedic insole design.
